Deye SUN-SMART-PLUG01P1-F LoRa Smart Plug, 16 A

The smart plug goes into an ordinary Schuko socket, and the appliance plugs into it. From then on the Deye hybrid inverter decides when that appliance runs: at set times, when the battery is above a chosen charge level, or depending on whether the grid is present. That makes it easy to soak up surplus solar with a water heater, an air conditioner or a pool pump, or to drop non-critical loads during a power cut so the battery lasts longer for the essentials. It talks to the inverter over LoRa, so it does not depend on the home Wi-Fi, and its power draw and switching state are visible in Deye Cloud.
